Why we built this

Every year, hundreds of thousands of UK residents travel abroad for treatment — for dental work, hair restoration, cosmetic surgery, weight-loss procedures, IVF, eye surgery and orthopedic care. Most journeys go well. The ones that don't tend to involve avoidable shortcuts: unverified surgeons, unlicensed facilities, no aftercare plan, or pressure to sign within 24 hours.

cliniccheck is a free, independent guide written specifically for UK patients. We publish checklists, country guides and clinic information designed to help you make a safer, better-informed decision before you pay any deposit.

What we are

How we choose what to list

Clinics included on cliniccheck must, at a minimum, hold a current licence with the relevant national Ministry of Health and publish enough information for patients to make informed comparisons. Listing is not endorsement — we expect you to use our checklists to verify the specifics yourself.
