1. Why this page exists
cliniccheck publishes prices, regulatory rules and safety guidance that people use to make decisions about surgery. Some of it will be wrong at some point — rules change, clinics move, prices drift. A publisher that cannot be corrected is not trustworthy, so the route to correcting us is deliberately short.
2. What to send
- The page URL and the specific sentence or figure you think is wrong.
- What you believe the correct position is.
- Ideally, a source — a regulator page, an official register, a published price list.
You do not need a source to report something. If you think a page reads as misleading even where it is technically accurate, that is worth telling us too.
3. What happens next
- Acknowledgement — we aim to reply within 3 working days.
- Check — we verify the claim against a primary source rather than taking either your word or our own previous text for it.
- Fix — factual errors that could affect a health or money decision are corrected as a priority, and the page’s “last updated” date changes with the edit.
- Or not — if we conclude the page is right, we will tell you why, with the source.
4. How corrections are shown
Typos, broken links and clarifications are fixed silently. A correction that changes the meaning of something material — a price band, a legal requirement, an eligibility rule, a safety warning — is noted on the page itself, so a reader who saw the earlier version can see what changed.
We do not quietly delete pages that turned out to be wrong. If a guide can no longer be supported, it is corrected or withdrawn with a note, not removed as though it never existed.
5. Clinics and listed organisations
If you operate a clinic listed here and something about your entry is inaccurate, write to us with documentation — a licence number, an accreditation certificate, a registry link — and we will correct it. What we will not do is remove accurate but unflattering information, or add claims we cannot verify. Listing is not something you can buy, and it is not something you can buy your way out of.
